TRI GOLF Competition Wednesday 15th June

After much checking of the weather forecast, the NHPS Golf Team headed to Whittlebury Hall for our annual inter-schools golf match.

We entered two categories : the Tri Golf Skills for years 3 and 4 ( 2 teams of 10 children) and the Super Sixes for our older children. ( 1 team of 7)

The afternoon got off to a good start and our pitching and putting skills were ensuring us of a good round. The dark, foreboding clouds were still on the horizon and we were actually enjoying our golf in warm sunshine.

It all happened so quickly! Suddenly the rain hammered down and children, staff and parents ran for whatever cover they could find. It then rained and rained and rained and the decision was made to abandon the match.

An average of the scores achieved so far will be calculated to give us our finishing score.

Many thanks to the children who represented our school and to the kindness of parents who helped with transport.

Just heard- we came 2nd in the Super Sixes Competition! The couple with the lowest score, which secured our success, were Jamie and Hayley. Well done and congratulations.
